I’m happy to report that with my help as photographer, the Susan G. Komen Evansville Tri-State Affiliate raised nearly $7000.00 with their recent “Big Wigs” campaign.

I provided portrait photography or head shots of local folks who were brave enough to wear some rather crazy pink wigs.  Not only did the photos appear both on billboards and the web, these courageous community leaders also sported the wigs at public events and with social media campaigns in support of the fight against breast cancer.

While there is still work to do and certainly more to be funded, the money raised during this 6 week campaign will be used to ensure access to essential breast health services and education programs, and support research to find the cures for breast cancer.  And remember, 75 percent of funds raised remain in local communities to help fund local breast cancer initiatives.
