Here’s a Komen video – produced for the local Komen affiliate. This one profiles three incredible women and their stories of survival over breast cancer. Truly an inspirational video – even for me now – many years after it was originally produced. It was created to play at the “Be The Cure” luncheon in Evansville – where Komen celebrates its volunteers as well as continues the mission of raising awareness and funds in the fight against cancer.
I absolutely love the “Be the Cure” slogan – as it closely resembles one of my quotes that I try to live by – which is “Be The Change You Wish to See in The World”. Extra credit and 15% discount on your next marketing campaign with me – when you tell me who said it. :-).
Watching the video again, years after it was created, is a bitter sweet experience. Jamie, one of the 3 women in the video, is still battling cancer. An important reminder that the fight is not over and your help is needed.
On the technical side of things, this may have been one of the very last videos that I produced in standard definition format – as this was done around the time that HD acquisition was in full swing. Very strange to think how quickly we’ve gone past HD to 4K, 6K and even 8K camera resolution capture now.
