Portrait Photography
These are a few samples of portraits (or headshots) taken for the Komen billboard campaign leading up to 2016’s Race for the Cure. The idea behind these photos were inspired by another Komen affiliate’s campaign that featured friends, spouses, brothers, children, etc. of the actual survivor asking for support instead of the survivor. So while both people would be featured on the billboard, the survivor would have a smaller photo inset against a much larger shot of that persons’ supporter. A clever idea and one that I feel really drives home the fact that we all are touched by cancer and need to be active supporting those who are vigorously researching a cure.
Half of the these pics were taken on the USI campus and the other half at Wesselman Woods – using my fastest lens to achieve the shallowest depth of field. Scroll down below to see which shots of each person were used in four of the actual Lamar billboards layouts created by Evansville Events.
